  1. Hi Herman,

The Netherlands here - "Here are the votes from the Dutch jury", I am tempted to add. I much enjoy the articles on your website and I always check your website on new ones several times a week. (I first read them in Swedish, slowly, and then I check with Google Translate if perhaps I've missed a word. If you do it the other way around and you find 'skeddrag' is translated into the Dutch equivalent of 'spoon pulling', it's more difficult to understand.) Anyway, thanks for your fine input every time!
Being a big fan of spoons myself, I like the post on the Lithuanian KB spoons, which I had never before heard of. You're quite right about the fine quality of the Finnish spoons of course. Apart from the well-known Kuusamo spoons, that I use most all of the time (the thin bladed versions are great for pike in the shallow Dutch still-waters), I also found some very attractive models of the brand Tiura on the internet, for example the Kirjotiura (it looks a bit like a fat Kuusamo Professor). They are very expensive though, especially including postage, so I know them only 'digitally', alas. But maybe you can get them more easily in Sweden.
You can find an article of mine on spoons, as published in the English quarterly 'Waterlog', here:

    1. Hans!

A very interesting and well written piece on spoon pulling! As for the availability of finnish spoons here in Sweden I´m afraid that they are pretty scarce.

      Tight lines!
